Sanctuary Madonna del Sasso

The Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso was built in the early 1600s on a massive granite rockface in Orselina above Locarno. There are two possible routes to reach the Sacred Mountain, one by taking the steep Via Crucis with a few chapels on the way or with the funicular which leaves from Locarno.

Locarno and Ascona Market’s

Every Thursday (in winter every 15 days) the Piazza Grande of Locarno is filled with stalls selling all kinds of handmade crafted products such as local Gastronomy.
The Ascona Market takes place every Tuesday from End of March until End of October along the lake promenade. A wide range of products from textiles, clothing, decoration items and food products are offered on the numerous stalls.
